Cat scratching posts in India are available online and here is our review of the cat tree. My daughter used up her pocket money to purchase this cat tree on November 2018. Today 2 years later we still have it with us.
We tried to dissuade her from purchasing the cat scratching post. At first look it seemed very fragile and also not worth wasting her birthday money on. We are glad she did and so is the cat. Let’s read the review of the cat scratching post, but first here are some tips.
What to Consider while purchasing a cat scratching post online? Get a tall scratching post and its better if there are many options on the post for scratching. The post should be sturdy, easy to clean and should have multiple posts if possible.
If you have multiple cats get one with multiple levels.

Cat Tree Basic Requirements
Before you purchase a cat tree do some research as this is a long term purchase. From our experience we have made a list of things which can be helpful to you.
- Should be Sturdy especially if your cat loves to jump and play
- Material should be natural and easy to clean
- Should include scratching posts
- Should be tall, preferably above the window sill.
The cat tree we purchased is made from MDF, carpet, paper tubes and jute. It is quite sturdy for our cat. She is not rough with the tree and is very lady like. I am not sure how long the cat tree will last if your cat is very playful.

How to Maintain the Cat Tree
This cat tree is very easy to maintain. Just make sure that you keep it away from too much dust. The material is not washable I think.
Once when our cat vomited, we used a damp microfiber cloth to clean it. I first cleaned up the mess.
Next, I used a toothbrush and an old comb to scrape out anything which might be left behind.
Next I mixed warm water with white vinegar ( 50 : 50 ) and damped my microfibre cloth with this solution.
Wipe the area with the solution. It is better to dab. Dont wet the carpet just use a damp cloth.
It dries off quickly and removes all smells.
Weekly Maintainence
Once a week just use a comb to brush out the fur which might be stuck in the cat tree.
I find that gloves work well to remove the fur.
What we Like about the Cat Tree
The first and most important factor is that our picky cat loves it. She just sits in the bed at the top of the tree.
This is her space and she enjoys grooming herself and looking out the window.
You can check out the cat tree we purchased online. I recommend this for your kitty and is useful for a multi cat household as well.
