I have persian cats at home. Each cat has their own personality, likes and dislikes and behavior. Initially when we brought the kitten home, we had no clue what to expect. 4 years later, well we have learnt a lot on the dos and donts and how to handle the cats with love and care.
We made the mistake of thinking that a persian cat is just like any other cat. I have taken care of stray cats and kittens before but never had a cat for a pet.
I had seen people feed them fish, milk, rice, chicken.
So when we got the persian kitten home, I assumed that cats loved milk.

The kitten drank the milk but after some time he started meowing… it seemed like he was in discomfort. I did take him to the vet but they did not mention anything about what might be wrong.
Can cat food cause diarrhea ?
I did my own research and realized it is not okay to feed a kitten milk. This is actually harmful for the kittens, they are lactose intolerant. My kitten had diarrhea, and was in pain.
I stopped giving milk, and started him on wet cat food. This settled everything. The kitten was son purring and playing as before.
